CALGARY, Canada – Ithaca Energy is preparing a drillstem test (DST) on the Hurricane appraisal well 29/10b-8 in the UK central North Sea.

The Hurricane structure is part of theGreater Stella Area, which is under development.

The well has been drilled to a total MD of 10,779 ft (3,285 ft) to appraise hydrocarbon-bearing sands in the eastern lobe of the Hurricane structural closure.

Logs indicate hydrocarbons (possibly liquid rich gas) in both the Rogaland and Andrew sands. Pressure and fluid samples have been taken across both reservoir sand intervals, with an initial DST to follow over the Andrew sand interval.
