MOSCOWEurasia Drilling Co. says the Saturn drilling jackup has clocked five years of continuous service in the Caspian Sea without a lost time incident.

The rig is owned and managed by the Turkmenistan branch of BKE Shelf in Ashgabat. For the past five years it has worked almost entirely offshore Turkmenistan for Petronas Carigali. For six months in 2010, the rig did work offshore Kazakhstan for Caspi Meruerty Operating Co.

Saturn is a Class CS MOD V (Keppel FELS B2427) rig, built in Baku in September 2000. It can drill in water depths of up to 107 m (351 ft), with a rated drilling depth capability of 8,000 m (26,246 ft), and a BOP system rated to 15,000 psi (1,034 bar).
