MOSCOW – Eurasia Drilling Co. (EDC) has provided an overview of its activity to date in 2012 in the Caspian Sea.
During the first quarter, theAstrajackup rig was based in the Kazakh offshore sector drilling on the N block.
EDC’sSaturnjackup continued operating for Petronas Carigali in Turkmen waters, performing three geological side tracks.
In the Russian offshore sector, EDC’s team completed one extended reach horizontal development well on Lukoil’s Yuri Korchagin field platform.
Also in 1Q, the modules comprising the company’s newbuild jackup rig were preparing to ship to the Caspian Sea from Lamprell’s shipyard on the UAE coast.
