HOUSTON –Saudi Aramco has awarded McDermott two projects in the Karan, Safaniya, and Zuluf fields in Saudi waters.
The Karan-45 project includes fabrication of a wellhead platform, auxiliary platform, jacket, and link bridge plus installation of a 20-in. flowline, 15 kV composite power, and a fiber optic cable. Completion is scheduled for 1Q 2014.
The second job includes procurement of flexible flowlines, and fabrication, transportation and installation of pipelines and subsea tie-ins. It is scheduled for completion by the end of 1Q 2013.
