Offshore staff
PARIS – Statoil has awarded Technip two subsea contracts offshore Norway under its diving frame contract. These are for the Åsgard, Gudrun, and Valemon projects. The total value is around $60 million.
Work for Åsgard this year involves deepwater testing of PRS remote hot-tapequipment, preparations works, installation of protection structures, and execution of what Technip says will be the first-ever remote retrofit tee hot-tap operation. Water depth on the Åsgard field is up to 300 m (984 ft).
The Gudrun and Valemon contract calls for installation and tie in of spools and a power cable and a Morgrip midline tie in, all performed by divers. Water depth on these fields is 140 m (459 ft). Work will be executed during 2013 and 2014 by Technip’s operating centers in Stavanger and Haugesund.
