OSLO, Norway – Statoil has commissioned Aker Solutions to provide six to nine subsea trees and control systems for the Troll field in the Norwegian northern North Sea.

Estimated contract value is $60 million.

Last year, Aker Solutions delivered the 100th subsea tree to Troll, which contains an estimated 40% of Norway’s gas reserves. However, the new equipment is destined for Troll’s oil section.

Deliveries will be made from 2012-2015.
