Azeri gas pipeline survey completed

ATHENS, Greece – ITGI (Interconnector Turkey Greece Italy) has completed an eight-month detailed marine survey for the offshore section of IGI Poseidon.

This is the portion of the planned ITGI pipeline connecting the Greek and Italian gas transportation systems, with the intention of bringing gas from the Shah Deniz II development in the Azeri sector of the Caspian Sea to European markets.

The $13.7-million study involved offshore and near-shore hydrographic, geophysical and geotechnical surveys, all undertaken by Fugro Geoconsulting.
