Australia names tracts available in 2011 acreage release

CANBERRA, Australia – The Australian government has published information on its 2011 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release, and 29 areas across nine basins are represented.

The first round, with 16 areas includes AC11-1, AC11-2, W11-1, W11-10 to W11-15, V11-1 to V11-6, and T11-1. Bidding closes Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.

The second round covers NT11-1 and NT11-2, W11-2 to W11-9, and W11-16 to W11-18. Bidding on these closes Thursday, April 12, 2012.
