Repsol Sinopec reports pre-salt find in Brazil

MADRID, Spain – Repsol Sinopec says it has a significant pre-salt discovery at Gávea in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.

Well 1-REPF-11A-FJS, found hydrocarbons at two levels, says Repsol Sinopec, in the well drilled by the Stena Drillmax I drillship to TD of 6,851 m (22.477 ft) in 2,708 m (8,885 ft) water depth.

Repsol Sinopec, with a 35% stake, is the operator of the exploration consortium, in partnership with Statoil (35%) and Petrobras (30%).
