Weatherford selects Hardide-T for corrosion protection

Hardide Coatings has secured approved supplier status and new business from Weatherford for its Hardide-T, tungsten carbide-based component coating.

HOUSTON -- Hardide Coatings has secured approved supplier status and new business from Weatherford for its Hardide-T, tungsten carbide-based component coating.

The coating is being used by Weatherford in a number of downhole drilling and completion applications in harsh environments for corrosion resistance. Hardide is also manufacturing and coating bearing pins for use in expandable completion systems for Weatherford in the UK.
