M² Subsea to support gas pipeline installation offshore Mexico
TransCanada has contracted M² Subsea to support installation of the Sur de Texas-Tuxpan natural gas pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico.
The scope of work will see M² Subsea install grout supports along the southern leg of the pipeline to prevent stress during installation and hydrostatic testing.
The company will manage the project with local partner Frontera Resources, using the Mexican flagged multi-purpose support vesselTehuana.
Its Houston office will be responsible for delivering the workscope with support from the UK team and local partners in Mexico.
Once completed, the 800-km (497-mi) long Sur de Texas-Tuxpan pipeline will deliver natural gas to the state of Veracruz.
