Offshore staff
HOUSTON -- Petrovietnam Exploration & Production has awarded J. Ray McDermott a subsea infrastructure, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) project for block 05-1A, 250 km (155 mi) offshore in 110 m (361 ft) of water.
This marks McDermott's first such project in the Asia/Pacific region. The contract includes tie-in, testing, and pre-commissioning of two new 2.2 km (1.4 mi) flexible flowlines, replacement of two 2.3 km export flowlines and umbilical, and installation of a subsea cable and 4.8 km (3 mi) of insulated flexible flowlines.
Engineering and procurement are under way and offshore installation is scheduled for 3Q 2011.
