NOC takes three GMS support vessels on long-term charters

Gulf Marine Services has won three long-term contracts for its self-propelled self-elevating support vessels from a national oil company in the Middle East North Africa region.

ABU DHABI, UAEGulf Marine Services has won three long-term contracts for its self-propelled self-elevating support vessels from a national oil company in the Middle East North Africa region.

All three are for five-year charters, subject to the completion of legal documentation and finalization of the vessel delivery schedule.

The single Small Class and two Mid-Size Class SESVs are set to start programs of well intervention support and maintenance during 4Q 2018/1Q 2019.

Duncan Anderson, CEO of GMS, said: “These contracts more than comfortably double the group’s secured backlog…We continue to be encouraged by levels of enquiries and tender activity as our clients focus on increasing their operations in a recovering market.”
