SINGAPORE -- Keppel Offshore & Marine has won contracts to upgrade an FPSO and to build a new diving support vessel (DSV).
SBM has contracted Keppel Shipyard for fasttrack modification of the FPSOEspadarte, which the yard previously converted in 2000.
The FPSO should sail into Keppel Shipyard this spring. The work scope includes upgrading the accommodation facilities, modifying the topside modules and internal turret mooring system, and installing and integrating new topside process modules.
FPSO Espadarteshould to return to Brazil in the first part of 2012 to work for Petrobras in the Baleia Azul field in the Campos basin.
Keppel Singmarine has a contract from a Malaysian company to build an 80-m (262-ft) DSV, which will be based on a new design developed by Keppel's Marine Technology Development. When completed in spring 2012, it will be provide a range of services including rescue and subsea operations.
