SINGAPORE -- Keppel Singmarine has delivered the platform supply geotechnical vessel Greatship Maya on schedule to Greatship Global Offshore Services. The vessel has been bareboat chartered to GC Rieber Shipping Asia.
Greatship Maya is a multi-functional enhanced offshore support vessel equipped with a drilling unit that is capable of operating at water depths of up to 1,800 m (5,905 ft). It is also able to perform real-time in-situ tests from downhole or seabed mode as well as various geotechnical laboratory tests onboard.
The 94-m (308 ft) vessel is equipped with two units of electrical driven 2,600-KW Azimuth thrusters and three units of 1,050-KW tunnel thrusters to achieve DP-2 capability. It has a moon pool and 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq ft) of clear deck space for the installation of a drilling derrick, line tensioner winches, mud pumps, hydraulic unit, and various specialized containers for performing geotechnical services.
The vessel will be deployed by GC Rieber and partner company Bluestone Offshore in Australia in the first quarter.
