ULSTEINVIK, Norway -- The seismic vessel WG Columbus, recently delivered to WesternGeco, has completed its maiden Atlantic crossing to its first assignment in the Gulf of Mexico, according to the Ulstein Group.

WG Columbus is the first seismic vessel built with an ULSTEIN X-BOW, the company says. The vessel will dock in Miami for adjustments in the seismic track steering in the DP system with the seismic equipment deployed at sea. This is part of the preliminary testing prior to the vessel's first assignment in the Gulf of Mexico.
