ANTWERP-- Exmar expects to take delivery tomorrow of its newbuild OPTI-EX semi-submersible platform.

The facility will remain at the Kiewit yard in Texas until a contract has been secured. Exmar has submitted two proposals for assignments in the North Sea, and it is also marketing the platform for use in developments off Brazil, West Africa, and in the Gulf of Mexico.

Last month, the company delivered the Nunce accommodation barge to Sonangol P&P in Angola. Exmar shortly expects to take re-delivery of another accommodation vessel, the Kissama, which will be towed to Cape Town for refurbishment and upgrade work. It is being marketed for new assignments offshore West Africa.
