SINGAPORE -- Keppel FELS has delivered the KFELS B class jackup rig Greatdrill Chitra to India’s Greatship Global Energy Services, 12 days ahead of schedule.

Keppel FELS has also delivered Gold Star, the world’s first DSSTM 38 deepwater semisubmersible drilling rig, to Queiroz Galvão Óleo e Gás (QGOG), six days early.

Both rigs are on-track for maiden deployments. Greatdrill Chitra will work off the west coast of India under a five-year contract with ONGC. Gold Star will support Petrobras' exploration and production activities offshore Brazil.

Keppel Offshore & Marine’s subsidiary, Keppel Singmarine, is also building four platform support vessels for Greatship. QGOG’s second DSSTM 38 unit, Alpha Star, is currently under construction and is scheduled for delivery in mid-2011.
