Statoil contracts new Mokul Nordic for North Sea charter
Statoil has contracted Nordic Maritime’s newest DP-2 vessel, Mokul Nordic, for a 30-day firm charter, plus a 15-day option, in the North Sea.
Mokul Nordic is a VS470 MKIII subsea service vessel capable of ROV/IMR operations. The vessel has just completed an inaugural charter with N-Sea Offshore in the North Sea.
Mokul Nordic is customized for IMR/ROV work. The vessel has a 100-metric-ton (110-ton) active heave compensated offshore knuckle-boom crane and built-in swell compensation systems per 2,000 m (6,562 ft) in depth.
Mokul Nordic’s sister vessel, Nordic Amprak, is currently under construction and scheduled for delivery in 2Q 2015.
