The contractor has taken the multi-purpose service vesselSiem Spearfish on a long-term charter to support the current commissioning program.
The vessel is being fitted with an Ampelmann active motion-compensated gangway which will allow personnel to walk onto the Solan platform safely, even in high wave conditions. It is due to arrive on site soon in block 205/26a, with the work set to continue through August.
Vard built and designed the new 120-m (393-ft) long vessel in Norway, with input fromHarkand. It is equipped with a 250-metric ton (275-ton) AHC offshore crane with 3,000 m (9,842 ft) of wire and two heavy work class Triton 4,000-m (13,123-ft) XLS ROVs. There is accommodation onboard for a crew of 110.
