ATHENS, Greece – Energean Israel has an agreement to purchase a field support vessel from Prime Marine Energy for $33.25 million.
The vessel is under construction to Energean’s specifications and will provide support to the Karish gas/condensate development in the Israeli sector of the Mediterranean Sea.
Services will include re-supply of the FPSO, crew changes, holdback operations for tanker offloading, emergency subsea intervention, drilling support, and emergency response.
Energean said the arrangement would improve operational efficiencies and economics compared with leasing of multiple different vessels for the various activities.
