(Oslo). Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping (OHM), a UK-based specialist in electro-magnetic survey technology, has welcomed new terms imposed by Norway's Ministry of Petroleum and Energy on exploration licenses. According to OHM, these require license partners to make use of electromagnetic survey data to aid decisions over whether to drill or drop exploration prospects.

OHM has already undertaken numerous proprietary surveys in Norwegian waters ahead of the 19th Licensing round awards. The data can be used to support license applications.
