STAVANGER, NorwayEquinor has completed its acquisition of Barra Energia’s 10% interest in the BM-S-8 block in the Santos basin offshore Brazil, which was first announced last July.

Total consideration was $379 million.

Equinor, ExxonMobil, and Galp have also completed two further transactions on terms equivalent to those for the Barra arrangement.

This means the partners’ interests across the two licenses for the Carcará area are now fully aligned.
