RIO DE JANEIRO -- Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) has christened the P-57 FPSO destined for the Jubarte field offshore Brazil in the Campos basin. Petrobras says the field will go onstream later this year with 15 producing wells and seven injectors.

P-57 is the first product of an effort by Petrobras to streamline offshore projects and to standardize equipment. It will be the model for future such installations such as P-58 and P-62 in the Santos basin pre-salt cluster.

P-57 is part of the second phase of Jubarte development. It will anchor in 1,260 m (4,134 ft) water depth and process up to 180,000 b/d of 17º API oil and 2 MMcm/d (70.63 MMcf/d) of natural gas. Produced oil will go ashore by shuttle tanker and the gas will go via pipeline to the Sul Capixaba Gas Treatment Unit.
