HONG KONG -- Production has re-started from the BZ25-1/BZ25-1 South oilfields in the southeast part of Bohai Bay offshore China, according to operator CNOOC.

Production had been suspended since last November due to damage to the facilities caused by strong winds. The fields were producing about 27,000 b/d of oil prior to the incident.

CNOOC Ltd operates the fields with an 83.8% interest, the balance held by Chevron.
