CNOOC produces first oil from Luda 29-1 offshore China

CNOOC has started production at the Luda 29-1 oil field in Liaodong Bay in the Bohai Sea.

HONG KONGCNOOC has started production at the Luda 29-1 oil field in Liaodong Bay in the Bohai Sea, offshore China.

The development, in 32 m (105 ft) water depth, entailed construction of a new wellhead platform, and is connected to processing facilities serving the Luda 21-2/Luda 16-3 oil field.

CNOOC plans to drill four production wells, two water injectors, and one water source well. Production should peak later this year at around 4,440 b/d of oil.
