KRISTIANSUND, Norway -- Acergy has contracted NKT Flexibles for water injection flowlines for a subsea facilities project on the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea.

Draugen, operated by Norske Shell, is in block 6407/9 in the Haltenbanker area, around 140 km (87-mi) north of Kristiansund. Water depth varies from 220-295 m (722-968 ft).

NKT is providing two smooth bore flexible lines for re-injection of produced water and sea water: a 12-in. (30.5-cm) ID flowline/static riser, 5,963 m (19,563 ft) long, connecting the Draugen platform with the northern subsea template; and a 10-in. (25.4-cm) IF flowline/static riser, 6,316 m (20,722 ft) in length, linking the platform with the southern template.

Both lines are static with tie-in through a J-tube at the platform end, and connection to the templates via integration into an ROV-installed connection head.

The two lines will be supplied in continuous lengths with no intermediate connections. The Skandi Acergy is due to perform installations in mid-2011.
