Oil production up in Iran

Oil production from the Dorood Field, offshore Kharg Island, Iran, is expected to increase by 85,000 b/d in 2004 under a buy-back contract between National Iranian Oil Co. and TotalFinaElf.

Oil production from the Dorood Field, offshore Kharg Island, Iran, is expected to increase by 85,000 b/d in 2004 under a buy-back contract between National Iranian Oil Co. and TotalFinaElf (TFE). Operator TFE owns 55% interest in the project, and Eni owns the remaining 45%. Two offshore wells are on stream and connected to processing facilities on Kharg Island. Twenty-nine wells are planned. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2004.
