North Sea Partridge on track for first well
Gardline Geosurvey has completed a site survey on the Partridge prospect in the UK central North Sea for operator Azinor Catalyst.
Results from the campaign, performed by Gardline’sMVSea Explorer survey vessel, will assist final surface positioning of a planned well later this year (Catalyst is currently attempting to secure a rig).
Catalyst has a 100% operated interest inblocks 14/11, 14/12 and 14/16, which contain Partridge. The structure is in the Jura sub-basin of the Outer Moray Firth and is adjacent to the Scapa, Claymore, and Athena oil fields.
Partridge’s pre-drill recoverable volumes are estimated at 119-260 MMboe. It has a relatively shallow and normally-pressured reservoir: the well will likely cost $8-9 million to drill.
