DURHAM, UK --Ikon Science subsidiary GeoPressure Technology (GPT) has issued a new pressure study for mid-Norway, in partnership with IHS.
The study examines pressure data from 197 mid-Norway wells to analyze overpressure across seven main geological horizons. The results confirm the importance of pressure studies to well planning, as well as to provide insight into hydrodynamic play concepts for the region.
"We have identified significant pressure trends controlling fluid movements, seal capacity, and the distribution of the highest pressure components across the region," says GPT's managing director Richard Swarbrick. The study includes 18 maps as well as geo-referenced digital files.
