ASKER, Norway -- TGS has started a new multi-client 3D survey in partnership with PGS over the East Shetland basin, west of the UK’s maritime border with Norway.

The ESB10 project will cover 1,100 sq km (425 sq mi). PGS’ Ramform Viking is performing the high-density survey using 16 streamers. The partnership is assembling a multi-client 3D grid south of their ESBO9 3D project in the same basin which was acquired last year.

The current program is supported by industry funding. Resultant data are expected to be available from spring 2011.
