RIO DE JANEIRO – ANCAP, Uruguay’s national oil company, is organizing Round II of its offshore exploration and development leasing schedule to be held in 2011. On Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Mar da Barra room of the Windsor Excelsior Hotel in Rio de Janeiro, ANCAP plans to offer a technical presentation and data room ahead of the awards.
Key topics to be addressed include geologic, tectonic, and stratigraphic evolution offshore Uruguay, petroleum systems and models, direct and indirect hydrocarbon indicators, leads and prospects, analogies with neighboring producing basins, and general bidding terms and conditions.
From Tuesday noon until Thursday, ANCAP’s technical team will be available for data rooms with interested companies.
