HOUSTON – The second phase of a 3D seismic survey offshore the Republic of Guinea is complete says Hyperdynamics Corp. This portion covers 875 sq km (338 sq mi) out of a total survey area of 3,635 sq km (1,403 sq mi).
“From a look at some preliminary data from the Viking, we are encouraged about seismic quality,” says Ray Leonard, president and CEO. “The data from this survey, like that from the first survey area, will go to the PGS center in Houston for processing. We expect first results of pre-stack time migration in December, and post-stack depth migration in January."
