WEST PERTH, Western Australia – Searcher Seismic plans to acquire about 8,000 km (4,971 mi) of 2D long-offset seismic data offshore west Australia in the Browse basin before year end. The survey will be from Seabird’s Aquila Explorer and the processing will be done in Perth. Searcher says this will result in a consistent regional dataset with ties to relevant well information.

A suite of additional products is to be generated during processing to allow for further interpretation such as AVO studies, inversion, and basin modeling.
