TEHRAN -- Iran has issued a tender for a 3D seismic survey over the Golshan and Ferdowsi fields in the Persian Gulf.
Mohsen Soleimani-Far, project manager at Pars Oil and Gas Co. (POGC), the survey will cover an area of 864 sq km (333 sq mi). The successful bidder will have to undertake and complete the work within a 100-day period by the end of this year.
Speaking to Iran’s Petroenergy Information Network (Shana), he added that the aim of the project was to delineate the two fields, leading to an optimum development solution following further studies.
POGC is looking to produce gas from the fields over a period of 25 years, and will strive for look-alike field developments to improve overall operations.
