LYSAKER, Norway -- PGS says it is significantly ramping up its investments in multi-client 2D (MC2D) this year. Targeting less mature basins worldwide, PGS has acquired 2D data in offshore basins in areas such as the Andaman Sea, Indonesia, and Kenya.

In addition, PGS acquired several MC2D campaigns using itsGeoStreamer in areas that include offshore the North West Shelf of Australia, Trinidad, and the Gulf of Mexico. A large GeoStreamer program will also shortly be conducted offshore Cyprus. In total, 37,282 line mi (60,000 line km) of MC2D are planned for this year.
