Nido updates Palawan seismic campaign

Nido Petroleum has updated the status of its seismic acquisitions offshore NW Palawan basin, Philippines.

SYDNEY, Australia -- Nido Petroleum has updated the status of its seismic acquisitions offshore NW Palawan basin, Philippines. The seismic campaign, which is the largest in Nido's history, extends over SC54, SC58, and SC63, comprising a combined total of 5,475 km (3,402 mi) of 2D and 826 sq km (319 sq mi) 3D seismic.

SC 58 (Nido operated): Acquisition of the 661 sq km (255 sq mi) 3D and 2,350 km (1,460 mi) 2D seismic program began in November 2007. As of Dec. 21, the SC 58 survey was 56% complete. Processing of the data has started with CGGVeritas in Perth, Western Australia. The survey is expected to be completed by the end of January 2008, subject to weather delays.

SC 63 (PNOC-EC operated): Acquisition of the 3,254-km (2,022-mi) 2D survey is complete and data processing has begun with CGGVeritas in Perth.

SC 54 (Nido operated): Acquisition of the 180-sq km (69-sq mi) 3D survey is complete and data processing has begun with CGGVeritas in Singapore.
