STOCKHOLM -- The Didon field offshore Tunisia has been producing mainly from three out of the field's five wells, according to operator PA Resources (PAR).
For the time being, the field will continue to operate with periodic well closures for pressure compensation. PAR says it is implementing measures on all the wells to compensate for the field’s natural decline.
In May, the company completed a 3D seismic survey of the offshore Zarat licence. It is currently analyzing the data with Fugro, with the work due to be completed by year-end.
Results will be used for drilling of an appraisal well next year on the Elyssa field in 2011. PAR is also working on appraisal and planning programs for development of the Zarat and Didon North fields.
At the El Bibane offshore field, operated by Candax-Ecumed, the workover program at the EBB3 well was completed in August, using the ENSCO 85 rig.
PAR says the well has begun producing again and is undergoing development.
