SINGAPORE – RH Petrogas says testing has been completed of the Koi-2 oil field appraisal well offshore Indonesia.
The well was drilled in 32 m (105 ft) water depth in the Salawati Kepala Burung production-sharing contract (Island PSC), operated by JOB Pertamina-PetroChina Salawati, a venture between Pertamina and PetroChina.
The partners have agreed to conduct a preliminary front-end engineering and design (pre-FEED) study to evaluate the development design and concept for the field.
Francis Chang, CEO of RH Petrogas, said: “We are extremely excited about the successful appraisal of the Koi-2 well. This opens up several analogous opportunities in the offshore area of the Island PSC.”
