Lundin spuds Cempulut test off Malaysia

Lundin Petroleum has spudded its Cempulut prospect well in block SB303 offshore Sabah, East Malaysia.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Lundin Petroleum has spudded its Cempulut prospect well in block SB303 offshore Sabah, East Malaysia.

The well is planned to reach TD of 1,031 m (3,383 ft) to test a late Miocene carbonate reef with crestal seismic amplitude anomaly. The jackup Offshore Courageous is drilling the well.

Lundin holds 75% interest in SB303 and operates five other blocks in Malaysia.
