President of export-import bank of the US takes office

Fred P. Hochberg has been sworn in as the 23rd president of the Export-Import Bank of the US, the nation's official export credit agency.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Fred P. Hochberg has been sworn in as the 23rd president of the Export-Import Bank of the US, the nation's official export credit agency.

President Barack Obama nominated Hochberg on April 20. The US Senate confirmed his nomination on May 14, for a term ending on Jan. 20, 2013.

Hochberg has more than 30 years of experience in business, government, and philanthropy.
