Offshore staff
HOUSTON -- John Lindsay, executive VP of US and international operations for Helmerich and Payne International Drilling, has been elected 2008 chairman of the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC). In addition, Claus Hemmingsen, CEO of Maersk Contractors, was elected vice chairman. Lindsay and Hemmingsen will lead IADC's 2008 leadership team, which includes the following newly elected officers:
•Secretary-Treasurer: Phil Rider, Assistant Controller - Accounting, Reporting and Compliance for Transocean.
•President: Lee Hunt, International Association of Drilling Contractors
•Senior VP - government affairs: Brian Petty, International Association of Drilling Contractors
•VP of land division: David Russell, executive VP of drilling operations for Rowan.
•VP of offshore division: Tim Juran, Seadrill, senior VP of deepwater units - Americas
•VP of drilling services division: Steve Richards, VP of operations support for Key Energy Services.
