Subsea 7 announced contract award by Statoil ASA for the Skinfaks/Rimfaks development, located 190 km west/northwest of Bergen in water depths of around 140 m. The contract is valued at $29 million.
WellDynamics and BP have signed a multi-well contract for the provision of SmartWell downhole flow control and ancillary completion equipment to manage water injection in BP’s deepwater, Greater Plutonio development offshore Angola.

Hercules Offshore LLC, a jackup drilling rig and liftboat contractor based in Houston, Texas with operations in the Gulf of Mexico, has completed the acquisition of theJupiter jackup drilling rig from Transocean Inc. The Jupiter is an independent leg cantilever jackup capable of working in water depths from 16 to 170 ft. The Jupiter, which will be renamed Rig 16, is currently stacked in the Middle East.
