HOUSTON — A.P. Møller Holding A/S has acquired offshore vessel services firm Maersk Supply Service A/S from A.P. Møller – Mærsk A/S, through the closing of the previously announced transaction. In connection with the closing of this acquisition, A.P. Moller Holding has elected a new CEO and board of directors for Maersk Supply Service A/S. Christian M. Ingerslev will take over the CEO position from Steen S. Karstensen, who has been at the helm of Maersk Supply Service since 2016. And the new board of directors for Maersk Supply Service includes Chair Martin N. Larsen, CFO, A.P. Moller Holding; Vice Chair Morten Engelstoft, former CEO of APM Terminals; Kristin Holth, non-executive positions including at Gaslog, Hitecvision, Maersk Tankers and Noble Corp.; Maria Pejter, head of human resources, A.P. Moller Holding; and Martin Neubert, group CIO and partner, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
Offshore energy engineering and construction services company Lamprell has appointed a new CEO, Ian Prescott.
The NKT board of directors has appointed Claes Westerlind as president and CEO of NKT. Westerlind replaces Alexander Kara who has decided to leave the company for personal reasons. Read more.
Yacine Ben-Meriem has joined Valeura Energy as CFO, succeeding Heather Campbell who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Kelvin Tang has joined Valeura as executive vice president of corporate, general counsel and corporate secretary. Ian Warrilow has joined Valeura as Thailand country manager and will be based in Bangkok.
Aramco has named Nasir al-Naimi and Mohammed Al Qahtani presidents of its upstream and downstream businesses, respectively, in a move designed to support the company's growth plans. The newly created positions and appointments, which have been approved by the board, will be effective July 1.
Constitutional responsibility for the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has been transferred to petroleum and energy minister Terje Aasland. This responsibility rested previously with Marte Mjøs Persen, the minister of labor and social inclusion.
Iben Møller Søndergård will be the new deputy director of the Danish Energy Agency (DEA) with special focus on subsidy administration and digitalization. The DEA expands its executive board from five to six members and adds Søndergård to the executive board as of Aug. 7. She previously held the position of senior manager at consultancy Deloitte.
GE named Rahul Ghai senior vice president (SVP) and CFO, effective Sept. 1, succeeding Carolina Dybeck Happe. Ghai will assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities as CFO of GE Aerospace, which he has held since August 2022. Dybeck Happe will continue as an SVP of GE for a period of time to assist with the transition and continued work to prepare for separation readiness ahead of the planned GE Vernova spin-off. GE Vernova is GE’s portfolio of energy businesses.
Borets International Ltd., a provider of artificial lift engineering, manufacturing, sales, and servicing of electric submersible pumps, has rebranded the company to Levare International Ltd. With this, Merrill A. Miller, Jr. has been named CEO and chairman of Levare.
Specialist engineering and design consultancy, Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, has appointed Dr Trevon Joseph offshore technical director, to support its continued expansion into new offshore services and markets.
Eni’s board of directors appointed Claudio Descalzi CEO and general manager on May 11. In this role he will be responsible for the management of the company, with the exception of specific responsibilities that are reserved for the board of directors and those that are not to be delegated according to the current legislation. The board also confirmed the central role of the chairman, Giuseppe Zafarana, in internal controls system assigning him, specifically, the management of the relationship of the head of internal audit with the board of directors. In addition, the chairman will carry out his statutory functions as legal representative managing, in particular, institutional relationships of the company in Italy, together with the CEO.

Ipieca, the global oil and gas industry association for advancing ESG across the energy transition, has appointed Oxy’s Krish Ravishankar and Hess Corp.'s Tony Webster as its newest vice chairs. Both of them have been active Ipieca members for more than 20 years. In addition to his appointment as vice chair, Ravishankar will continue to represent Oxy in several Ipieca working groups, including Climate, Environment, Reporting, Social Responsibility and Water. Webster will also continue to represent Hess in Ipieca’s Climate and Reporting working groups.
Energy Workforce & Technology Council Board of Directors elected new members to its Advisory Board during the 2023 Annual Meeting. The new Advisory Board members include Josh Lowrey, co-founder, president and CEO of Galtway Enterprises; Rutger Niers, president and CEO of Ideal Completion Services; Dan Pratt, senior vice president, Energy Centers with DistributionNOW; and Daniel Watson, president of Energy Alloys Global Solutions.
The winners of RenewableUK’s 2023 board election have been announced, with Mainstream Renewable Power’s Una Brosnan, Equinor’s Halfdan Brustad, Ørsted’s Duncan Clark and Ian Hunter of RES successful from a 40-strong field of candidates. This will be Clark and Brustad’s first time serving on the RenewableUK board, while Brosnan and Hunter have been reelected for a second three-year term.
