CAMBRIDGE, England --Aveva has announced that National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC) has chosen Aveva's Plant Design Management System for use on its part of the Umm Shaif redevelopment project for ADMA OPCO.

The ADMA OPCO offshore platform project comprises two new well head towers (US 40/56 and US 40/24) in the Umm Shaif field, plus two new 610 mm (24 in) subsea pipelines, each starting from the new well head to the existing Umm Shaif Super Complex.

"We are going to use PDMS throughout all phases of the project," says Dr. Ahmad Kurdali, engineering manager of NPCC. "After the 3D modeling and design, the design drawings and isometrics will be generated by PDMS. We also will be integrating the PDMS model with the structural steel detailing software to optimize the production of fabrication drawings."

Aveva PDMS is for 3D process plant design and features applications and reference data for every engineering discipline. It produces graphics directly from a single data model of the entire plant.
