TUNBRIDGE WELLS, UK -- Cameron has manufactured a Jiskoot fast-loop sampling and analysis system for installation on an FPSO offshore West Africa.
The operator aims to use the system to extract a representative sample from the project’s main process line. The sample will flow through a dual pumped sample/analysis loop designed to have no water traps and with sufficient fluid velocity to maintain sample representivity and homogeneity throughout the system.
The system includes dual densitometers, water-in-oil monitors, and a standard Jiskoot cell sampler, with an enclosure heated to maintain an even temperature, thereby avoiding solids or wax formation. The system is fully isolatable, so any maintenance can be performed without impacting the main process line.
According to Jiskoot, the objective of the density measurement is to provide the fluid density which is fed into the flow computer to calculate the mass of hydrocarbon transferred.
