Fugro Seacore scores $52-million in contracts

Fugro Seacore Ltd. has won two contracts with a combined value of $52 million.

LEIDSCHENDAM, the Netherlands – Fugro Seacore Ltd. has won two contracts with a combined value of $52 million. One is for seabed investigation and the other is for construction support services.

Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp. has ordered a marine drill coring system for a new survey vessel looking into seabed resources such as massive sulfates and methane hydrates. The vessel is scheduled to begin service in 1Q 2012.

John Holland Group has contracted Fugro Seacore for drilling and marine support services on a 1.4-km (0.9-mi) long jetty and wharf at Cape Lambert, Australia. The contract involves installation of 300 piles using Fugro’s self-elevating platform vessel.
