MOUNTAIN VIEW, California -- Future Fibre Technologies (FFT) has signed a global agreement with Siemens Building Technologies to integrate its Secure Pipe technology with Siemens' video management solution, Siveillance. Secure Pipe will be promoted under the Siemens banner as a fiber optic and laser sensing technology feature within the Siemens oil and gas portfolio.

FFT's Secure Pipe product is a laser-based fiber optic sensing system that detects tampering, excavating, tapping, or other unwanted activity near oil and gas pipelines, pump stations, and other critical facilities. Siemens selected Secure Pipe to work with Siveillance and SiteIQ for enhanced SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) applications that can range over hundreds of miles, yet be managed and monitored from anywhere in the world.

"This partnership will benefit both Siemens and FFT," says Bill Evenson, FFT's VP for the Americas. "Oil and gas security represents an incredible opportunity due to the vast number of at-risk pipelines throughout the world. Secure Pipe is really the only proven and affordable right-of-way intrusion detection solution available. The solution only gets better when you fuse Secure Pipe to Siveillance and SiteIQ."
