HOUSTON -- PennWell, sponsor and organizer of the 2008 Deep Offshore Technology (DOT) International Conference & Exhibition, has extended the deadline for submitting abstracts for the February 2008 DOT in Houston.

Abstracts for the Houston event can now be accepted until Aug. 15, 2007.

DOT International, to be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center Feb. 12-14, 2008, will be the 20th occurrence of this industry event.

DOT is PennWell's largest and most successful oil and gas conference and is recognized throughout the industry worldwide. With the growth in global deepwater activity and the increased need for access to new technology, PennWell has answered the call for greater DOT access by providing the event in Houston each year, along with an event each fall at an international location. The combination extends the opportunity for technology exchange to a greater number of deepwater industry attendees, speakers, and exhibitors worldwide.

Submit a 150- to 200-word abstract online at www.dotinternational.net. Inquiries about abstract submittals can be directed to Niki Vrettos, Conference Manager, at dotinternationalconference@pennwell.com.
