STAVANGER -- StatoilHydro has received consent for the use of the mobile living quarters facility Safe Scandinavia as a flotel on Sleipner B.

The company has applied for consent for a period from early March 2008 to the middle of November 2008.

Safe Scandinavia will be placed next to the Sleipner B facility and will have a bridge connection to the permanent facility. The flotel will be used as quarters for personnel to carry out maintenance, modifications, and the Sleipner B compression project.

Safe Scandinavia is operated by Prosafe Offshore. The facility received an Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in April 2007.
